Local Customs: British Music
  • Tip Rating:
  • Many of the most important Rock n' Roll bands are from Great Britain. In the Sixties, the music of THE ROLLING STONES (as well as that of The Beatles' too) made a difference and nothing's been the same since then. The Stones are the Greatest Rock n' Roll band, in my opinion, for what they've done and for what they're up to now: 40 years of Rock n'Roll!!!
I must admit I was really disappointed when I found no Stones memorabilia shops in London, I had expected to find lots of merchandising shops but actually I think didn't come accross any. At least I had the chance of having dinner at Sticky Fingers Cafe (see restaurant tip for information) and I could pick up a napkin & take some pics!

Local Customs: Politeness is a must
  • Tip Rating:
  • Be polite when talking to English people, they are very polite and don't like someone talking to them in a not very kind way. Say please, use would and could and they will be eager to help you.

You will be happy to know that Hampton Court is still a great place to visit, and it's still easy to get lost in the maze. I also want to go back to London ... what a wonderful city.

What a fun page. Its obvious you had a great time. I did not know about the Sticky Fingers Cafe. I wish I had gone there. I love the Stones too, but for me Beatles are #1.
