This is another great building you must visit while being in London. Tower Bridge is one of the world's most famous bridges, having been completed in 1894. There are many ways of experiencing "Tower Bridge": If you don't have money, you can just cross it & go to the other side of the city, "SouthBank". But, if you want to know the history behind it, you can go to the Exhibition (4.50 GBP) and get to know the facts about it.

Piccadilly Circus is another London "must". It is said to be the London equivalent of Times Sq., as it's always crowded. You can see Eros' --the God of Love-- statue at the back of my picture. This was erected in 1892 as a memorial to the Earl of Shaftsbury.

Buckingham Palace has served as the official London residence of Britain's sovereigns since 1837. Today it is The Queen's official residence. The Changing of the Guard is a very traditional ceremony nobody wants to miss, but as it's quite long it turns up to be a little bit boring. Anyway, I think it worths a visit... The Guard Change takes place at 11:30 daily from April until the end of July and on alternate days for the rest of the year, weather permitting. Notice: Admission prices Adult £12.00 Over 60 £10.00 Student £10.00 (with valid ID) Under 17 £6.00 Under 5 Free Family £30.00 (2 adults, 3 under 17s)

Hampton Court Palace - Henry VIII's Residence. It's such a beautiful building we did not want to leave!!! Hampton Court Palace was the centre of court life in England from 1529 to 1737, playing host to many of the most important events and characters in English history. The palace witnessed several royal births, deaths and marriages, including the birth of the future king Edward VI and, only days later, the death of his mother Jane Seymour - Henry VIII's third and favourite wife. Full of history, this palace will take you to the ancient times of England, where the Kings had all the power, even to reform the church, as King Henry did. Every place is represented as it used to be in King Henry's time, Do not miss the Tudor Kitchens, The King's Appartments, The Queen's State Apartments, The Georgian Rooms, Henry VIII's State Apartments, The Palace Gardens, do not miss anything! For more info check out my Hampton Court Travelogue.

Very pictoresque, lots of trendy shops, very nice people, what else can a tourist ask for? A little bit of history... The name Covent Garden is derived from the fact that the area used to be a convent garden for the monks of Westminster Abbey. The monks also used the site to sell their surplus fruit and vegetables to the local community. In 1536 the Earl Of Bedford received the land from Henry VIII and it remained in the Bedford family until 1918. The Bedford name continues to lend itself to streets and landmarks in the area, including the Bedford Head Pub. In the 17th century the fourth Earl of Bedford commissioned Inigo Jones to build an elegant residential square modeled on an Italian Piazza. The Earl tried to put an end to the market trading, but the tradition was too strong and fruit and vegetables continued to be sold on the south side of the Piazza.

After walking around the city for miles all you need is to rest & relax. A good idea is to stop over Green Park & sit on a bench to enjoy the lovely view & the singing of the birds.
