Fanad Head

Few areas possess more natural splendour than County Donegal. One of my favorites is Fanad Head.

Annagary

We stayed in the little town of Annagary. The best part of this location is its central location for visiting the rest of Donegal, and the quiet, peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. This isn't a "happening" place, but a perfect base for exploring, and for peace.

Arranmore

The little island of Arranmore is off the coast of Donegal. You take a ferry from Burtonsport to reach it. It is a lovely place to walk, breathe fresh air, and enjoy the scenery!

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:the less visited part of Ireland; you meet Irishmen!
  • Cons:not a one that I can think of!
  • In a nutshell:quiet beauty, inspiring
