Silver Spring is a suburb of Washington DC, directly north of the City. It has many neighborhoods, and each has a dictinct personality. My neighborhood is rich in ethnic diversity, and is a solidly middle-class community. Its a great place to live!

Boy, are you right about not visiting in the summer. We walked around bathed in sweat.
I grew up in Silver Spring. Attended ST. BERNADETTES off of University Blvd. Grew up with the SLIGO WOODS as my back yard. Great place to be from. I sure miss it.
Ha! We live in Olney -- I know Silver Spring well :-) Maybe we watched the same kids' soccer games when our sons were much younger!
I was impressed by the photograph collection where a faint, sweet smell of the rose drifted.
