| Silom Road from Lumpini Park |
| | The place to visit For my wife and myself this is the most fantastic city we have visited so far, and for us a place where we could live. You must enjoy the climate I suppose, which, at 36 degrees centigrade with >80% humidity might not be to everyone's liking. Important is the location of the hotel, certainly for the novice (as we were). Silom Road is the place to be and from there we undertook long walks (up to 10 km a day) as well as boat trips, but had quick access to the skytrain (see picture below) as well. |
Nature in the city Lumpini Park quickly became a special place for us: observing the local population (this is not meant to be condescending) especially in the evening is a real treat (check it out!); Lots of animals in the park as well and I am happy with below picture. Check out the food stalls on the other side of Lumpini park, just outside the back gates, where the locals eat. GREAT food!!! | | |
| | Soooo many places to visit Bangkok is full of things to see. Touristy, yes, certainly, but so many so beautiful places to see that this never bothered us. |
