If one arrives to Sheffield by train, he is easily put off by the industrial zone and the ugly state houses. However, there is definately more to it than that! Sheffield has more trees per person than any other city in Europe! And, after all, wouldn't one be curious to find out what made a 40-year-old knock-out give up a brilliant and prosperous carreer as a stock-broker in the City, in order to move in a cottage in the Peak District and engage in child up-bringing, pottery and drawing? "Peace of mind, luv!" |

Best wishes from Istanbul:-) | BillNJ Mon Apr 14, 2008 13:08 UTC Evi, are you trying to sell us knives? (haha). Great tips and photos. Sheffield looks a bit like New Jersey -- lots of beauty if you overlook the gritty industrial parts. Best from NJ, Bill | Gillybob Sun Mar 30, 2008 15:56 UTC Great skyline photo! Good to see someone from outside the UK visit my hometown! Gillybob greetings |
