Katima Mulilo is a dusty city on the eastern tip of Caprivi, close to the Zambesi River. The town was established in 1935 by the British Colonial force to replace the previous German colonial regional capital at Schuckmannsburg. It's the province capital and service centre in the region. The city has 75,000 inhabitants, but looks like a small town in an American westernmovie. The downtown is the main road where it pass through a Shell station, some restaurants, a shoppingcenter and streetmarket. It's a charming city with low, scattered buildings.
