Carson City Travel Guide: 66 reviews and 143 photos
You would think that Las Vegas would be the capital of Nevada (the Silver State) but it's not. Carson City, just east of Lake Tahoe and south of Reno, is in fact the capital. It's a small town with not much to do but it's worth a trip for a few hours to check out some of the historical sites as well as some of the older casinos.
- Pros:A historical spot with lots of affordable casinos/hotels
- Cons:Not much to do when compared to Lake Tahoe or even Reno
