We stopped in Munich on our way from Innsbruck to Prague. We were in Munich for only 10 hours but it was probably the longest 10 hours of our lives. That day was September 11th, the day of the attack on America.
The picture is of the TV in the Munich train station. We spent a good deal of time here as did a lot of people. There was a crowd of about a few hundred standing silent watching history unfold on TV. It was a strange experience being in a different country where you don't speak the language. Although we sat and watched the TV in the train station we didn't know all of the details of what was going on. This made for a very uneasy situation for my girlfriend and I. Since this was near the beginning of the trip we were both unsure of what to expect in the days to come.
