Cafe Siam: Great Thai

A great little Thai restaurant on Lyndhurst Terrace just below the Escalator. Very comfortable seating inside as well as on the 2nd floor deck when the weather is nice. Not too fancy and not too casual. A great place to escape the heat. Try to get a seat by the window so you can watch the world go by as you eat.

Favorite Dish: The Tom Yum Gai is great here and the Thai ice-tea will get you going. Shrimp chips are served for free as a snack.

Wing Wah Lane: Blend In With The Locals For Great Food

If you're looking for a place to blend in a bit with the locals while enjoying some outstanding, affordable food be sure to find Wing Wah Lane off of D’Aguilar St in Central. Tucked away in this little lane you will find a number of little Thai, Malaysian and Indian restaurants where, if the weather is good, you can sit outside on one of the many plastic stools, enjoy a beer and food that is out of this world. If you don't know where you want to eat when you first get to Wing Wah Lane you'll be courted by someone from each of the various restaurants. Don't be intimidated, no matter what you pick you won't go wrong.

Favorite Dish: I picked the Thai restauraunt who's name unfortunately I can't remember (I'll be going back soon so I'll have the name at some point). I enjoyed a few beers in addition to the chicken satay and tom yum gai.

This is one of the best transportation tip I had seen in here so far;-) Thanks! Visit HK again...it still is a vibrant and complex city...just there last weekend!

Good and accurate tips on the transportation, I used all three of them during my company trips there. Next time that I’m in Hong Kong I shall go to dinner in that Thai restaurant that you recommend it sounds delicious. Great page,
