I remember Vienna to be a very clean city. My new friend and I had lots of fun walking around during the heat of the day dunking our heads into various fountains throuout the city. In retrospect this was probably not the most discrete way to keep cool but it was a lot of fun. After a late arrival via train from Prague we decided that a hotel was the way to go. I remember, however, having to argue about the room rate when we left as they tried to tell us the original quoted price was per person. I spent one night at the river which reminded me of Tijuana a bit. Lots of drinking and dancing on tables. On thing that we found out the hard way was that busses stop at about 2 or 3 in the morning and it can be easy to get stuck in the middle of nowhere as I did. Luckily we made the best of it until we could find a cab.
