As an American it did not even come close to American standards. The room was tiny, with a twin bed that felt like a baby crib. I asked for a double bed, and the hotel clerk said they were only for couples and that they didn't have that many. There were cracks in the ceiling, and somebody's hair was on the floor in the bathroom.
