getting there

My husband works in Baghdad and we decided to go for a shot trip to Erbil ,as we heard alot of nice things about it. One preson said that you wouldnt feel that you were in Iraq.
we flew with Iraqi airways ,the plane was 30 min late to take off. stopped in Sulmanyia then continued to Erbil airport . The whole flight took about 1:30 min.

Once we got into Erbil airport we noticed the difference between it and the one in Baghdad. this was newer, cleaner and very organized.
we took a taxi to the hotel which was next to Tablo Mall, had dinner at Today restaurant and went to bed.
The second day we woke up early had breakfast then headed to the Citadel , it was queit hot. the roads where clean , the people were very friendly.
After that we went to souk Eskan , Family Mall, had lunch in Marina restaurant ( lebanese :) ) then headed to Magidi Mall.

Last day

We had intended to visit the neighboring places to Erbil ,chaklawa and Bekhal on the second day but when we finished lunch it was around 5 pm and we were told that it would take 6 hours there and back . so we decided to leave it to the last day.
Unfortunately when we woke up the last day my husband was checking the tickets to see what time the plane departes only to find out that it does at 1:30 pm . so instead we went to Family Mall . My hubby bought me some dresses .
We got to the airport just intime at 1:15 pm only to find out that the fight was delayed to 4 pm , and it actually took off at 5 pm :S.
