It’s Summer Time. Our company gave us a break from routine life, which was spelled as work, work, and work . Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority’s (SBMA) was one of our itineraries. We went to its latest additions of tourist attractions – the “Zoobic Safari”.
Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), formerly US Military Clark Air Base and Subic Bay Naval Station. It is located southwest of the Luzon Island in the Philippines. It is 110 kilometers north of Manila and about 3-4 hours drive from Manila. It was my first time to visit Subic Bay Freeport and I have never explored the place ever since. Guess, I’m missing a lot from its wide array of offerings – beaches, duty free shops, hotels, bars, jungles, golf clubs and many others. There are lots of tourist attractions within Subic aside from Zoobic Safari such as Ocean Adventure, Butterfly Garden & others I need to be discovered. Zoobic Safari is still on its development stage, and they have plan of putting additional attractions like the Elephant World, Honey Bee Farm, Alligator Land and Rice Wine Brewery.
If you want to experience a relaxing break from the stressful life in the city, I highly recommend "Subic". After the day’s adventure, want to refresh and take an afternoon/night swimming, there is a nearby resort, the Camayan Beach. I never been in that beach but I have learned from my friends, it is a beautiful and I want to spot it one day , on my next TRIP here! Promise!

Subic looks like a very interesting place to see wildlife and then get a halo-halo.
That has been my experience, but I have not engaged in any empiric study regarding whether my experience can be generalized to the entire population.
uh, Annie does? ;o)
Next to my home country it's one of my favorites in Europe Jane - last winter (February) we made a VT skiing meet there and had a lot of fun ;-) - here we dont have snow yet but a lot of rain and storms - I would prefer the Philippines now ;-)
i did : ( I feel life-less now. Due to that i am not sure if life will begin when i reach 40. I thought Phil ppl are a friendly bunch ; (
Zoobic Safari? I'm happy you did not play the role of the chicken... Thanks for your interesting page and your comments. Okay ka lang?
I'm glad you got the postcards, Jane. And I'm glad I know your new VT identity! Have a great weekend.
Wonderful tips on Subic. Beautiful pic of my favourite halo halo. I am now turning green with envy, he he he
there's a definite skill to cracking a crab. Most of mine ended up flying accross the room :/
Close encounter with tigers! Do you have tigers in Philippines? Indonesia has a few and India has the greatest population in Asia but their life is in danger! The poachers are always on the prowl for tigers and Rhinos. We are loosing them everyday!
